When the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 was announced, Asuka entered with the intention of taking Jin down. Asuka learned that she was a relative of Jin Kazama, leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, the conglomerate responsible for engineering the conflict. This peace was soon disrupted by the onset of war across the globe, however. The lack of closure frustrated Asuka, but her life gradually returned to normal.
Īsuka defeated Lili at the tournament, but was unable to find Feng Wei. In the name of justice, Asuka decided to enter as well. Several days later, a detective from Hong Kong, Lei Wulong, arrived to investigate the incident and told Asuka that the perpetrator would likely be entering the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. The students present at the time of the attack told Asuka that a Chinese man had beaten them and hospitalized her father. One day, she returned home and discovered that her father's dojo had been wrecked. She became well known around Osaka for breaking up fights in the neighborhood. She was trained in her family's traditional martial arts style from a young age, and always possessed a strong sense of justice. Asuka is a member of the Kazama family and a practitioner of Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts.
